I’m James H. Allen, a professional artist, illustrator, and educator with over a decade of experience in painting, illustration, and visual storytelling. My work is grounded in strong artistic fundamentals—composition, color theory, light, and form—and centered around an active studio practice rooted primarily in oil painting.

I collaborate with authors and clients to develop illustrations for books, games, and related projects, guiding ideas from early concept through finished execution.
